  • my thoughts on columbine

when columbine happened i was just eleven.....a mere child who had just begun high school.....i mean america had had its gun crime in high schools before jonesboro arkansas, and west paduca kentucky etc but this was different many people died that day and since we have had more high school shootings shown on the news from america.....with our rise in gun crime whats it going to take before the same happens in britain??

These kids are already killing each other in the street and at school with knives etc drive by shootings are more common whats it going to take before we have to stop and listen to whats going wrong in society??

we can try and blot out the news all we like but one day it will happen on our doorsteps who will hear our voice then?? Violence doesnt stop with more violence and retaliation is only met with more lashing out.....whats it going to take to stop the guns stop the knives and stop the violence???

  • Listening to the Red hot chili peppers

The red hot chili peppers have always been a favourite band of mine.......i find it hard to comprehend that they lost one of their talented guitarists to drugs........hillel slovak. I find it hard to believe why drugs attract to some people and not to others?? What makes them so attractive a high that comes with them? The coolness of being on drugs or what?

When you think of all the talented people who have died due to drugs overdoses it makes you realise what a waste drugs are what they do to people is so cruel.

  • Am listening to Enya

I like all sorts of music and i find that enya is very easy to listen to........ok so maybe she's not the coolest person in the world for me to say that i own her CD's but she has a special place in my heart because my dog used to love listening to Enya - he had this fascination with her music and it used to calm him down every bonfire night........I get very sad whenever i think of him and when i listen to enya so i guess you could say im sad right now :(

  • after the ear infection comes the cold!!!!

so after having three different courses of antibiotics i now have a cold, why i do not know but you would have thought all those antibiotics would have warded off this cold of mine. Sorry folks to have been away from blogland so much. i'll be back, watch this space ...............

  • hearing through my ears !!!!

recently have come down with two ear infections and they are very painful - im deaf because there's one in each ear.

hopefully i will get my hearing back but fear maybe i wont for a long time. its at times like these that it makes you appriciate being able to hear and how we all take it for granted in society.

well i'll come down off my soapbox now lol, and hope that whoever reads this feel and thinks for a moment what its like to be not permenently deaf but to have hearing difficulties that leave you partially deaf.

  • WE ARE COLUMBINE

This was the message the school chanted after a massacre that killed 12 school kids, 1 teacher and the 2 perpetrators........

Columbine has been with us for a long time it is 8 years since it happened and it will be with us for a long time it wasnt the first of its type, it wont be the last unfortunately because in a growing gun culture there will be more to come.

So why columbine? It was the worst of its type for the time. 20th April 1999 - Hitlers birthday. Saw that 13 people wouldnt be going home that day. And hundreds more couldve been killed if the bombs had detonated. It was also a year in the making and that is hard for everyone who was involved to believe that the signs couldnt be spotted in time.

Now since columbine there have been more school shootings places, where education should be learnt not violence. So what does it show about societies morals when Charlton Heston does a gun rally after columbine happened??

It shows that we have very little morals at all and very little respect.

  • Its times like these

that you learn to live again...........
I have been wondering why Dave Grohl wrote those lyrics and i think i have finally realised that maybe its because he realised that life was too short after Kurt Cobain killed himself and Nirvana disbanded. I think the Foo Fighters are a great band they will never be Nirvana and i think thats the nicest thing - that Dave Grohl did something different he didnt try to recreate Nirvana and he didnt say his band (the Foo Fighters) where bigger than Nirvana. I think he realised he finally had peace with Kurt. Thats how i like to think of it.:)

  • buddha

I havent posted here in a while its been a hectic few weeks. I hope to be posting on here more regulary. It was never my intention to 'get' religion as the phrase might be but these days i find myself enjoying the teachings of the buddha and the dalai lama. I try to read a bit about him everyday and so far he has been helping me through some stuff. I dont say i'll ever achieve enlightment but maybe i'll find some sort of inner peace in a world of such tormoil. We have shootings and stabbing everyday in the UK now and im not one to preach about religion but where have societies morals gone? What gives these kids today the right to take another ones life?
